Almost nothing is known about Gili Köhl, presumably the eldest son of the White tanner Gili Köhl. There are only baptismal entries for two of his daughters. As Gili's father and some of his descendants belonged to the tanners' guild, it can be assumed that Gili worked as a Weissgerber. He may also have been the owner of the Köhl tannery in Sand.
In 1643, a Gili Köhl joined the shoemakers' guild. Based on the name, he was probably a son of Gili. This Gili is listed in the tax register of 1650 and is described as a tanner. He paid 10 shillings in taxes.
An Antoni Köhl had several children in Chur from 1630 to 1642. There is no record of his baptism, nor is there any record of his guild membership. He had six children, two of whom were called Julius. He therefore probably also belonged to this branch of the family. In the tax register of 1650, Antoni's wife is described as a widow.
